Ferenc Sebő, a Hungarian folklorist and musician, died on April 27, 2026, following a long illness.
He was 79. Sebő was best known as the bandleader of the Sebő Ensemble, which became one of the best-known groups of the Hungarian roots revival in the 1970s and helped produce performers including Márta Sebestyén.
