Steve Maslow, an American sound mixer who won three Academy Awards for Best Sound, died on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81, of cancer.
He worked on more than 200 films from 1978 and was credited on The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Speed. Maslow also won the BAFTA Award for The Empire Strikes Back and the Australian AACTA for The Great Gatsby.
