He had been active in film and television since 1972 and appeared in productions including Sone Pe Suhaaga, Balidaan and Meenaxi: Tale of Three Cities. Kapoor also starred in the television series Bhagyavidhaata on India’s Colors television channel from 2009 to 2011.
