Boris Podkorytov, a Kyrgyzstani football player and manager, died on March 4, 2026.
Born Boris Petrovich Podkorytov on May 3, 1948, he began his professional career with Lokomotiv Moscow in 1969. From 1970 to 1975, he played for Alga Frunze as a forward or midfielder.
He later moved into coaching, starting with Alga Frunze in 1984 and going on to coach MC Oran, FC Zhetysu, Astana and Dordoi-Dynamo. In 2006, he was coach of the Kyrgyzstan national team.
