The Tehran-based performer was born in Ardabil in 1937 and held a master’s degree in theatre from England. After completing his early education in Iran, he studied English language and literature at the University of Tehran before traveling to England to pursue theatre, and he also graduated in music from the University of Birmingham.
In September 2017, he was honored at the 19th Iran Cinema Celebration at Shams Hall in Tehran.
