Slava Racheva, a Bulgarian actress and puppeteer, died on March 16, 2026.
Born in Sofia on April 23, 1938, she studied drama acting at the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film. She made her stage debut at the National Puppet Theatre at age 17, later known as Sofia Puppet Theatre.
Her performances in Max and Moritz, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit in Rabbit School and The Little Princess were among those remembered in Bulgarian children’s entertainment. She was also active in radio and television.
