Grady Jolly, an American judge and United States circuit judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, died March 16, 2026, at age 88.

Born in Louisville, Mississippi, on October 3, 1937, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi in 1959 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mississippi Law School in 1962. Jolly worked as a trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi, and later served on the Fifth Circuit after being nominated by President Ronald Reagan in 1982. His chambers were in Jackson, Mississippi, and he assumed senior status in 2017 before taking inactive senior status in October 2025.

Elbert Grady Jolly Jr. (October 3, 1937 – March 16, 2026) was an American jurist who served as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. His chambers were in Jackson, Mississippi.
