Pietro Gabrielli, an Italian Roman Catholic prelate, died on February 6, 2026, at the age of 94.
Born on March 17, 1931, in Pove del Grappa, Italy, he joined the Salesians of Don Bosco, made a solemn profession in 1958 and was ordained to the priesthood on June 29, 1962. He was later sent as a missionary to Ecuador and served as Vicar Apostolic of Méndez from 1993 until his retirement in 2008.
Gabrielli carried out pastoral work for several decades in the Apostolic Vicariate of Méndez, including service among rural and indigenous communities in the Amazon region.
