Muni Narayana Prasad, an Indian spiritual teacher and author, died on April 25, 2026, at the age of 87.
He was the head of the Narayana Gurukula Foundation, a philosophical and educational organisation inspired by the teachings of Narayana Guru. Born in Kerala on December 9, 1938, he trained as a civil engineer and worked with the Public Works Department of the Kerala government before resigning in 1968 to join the Narayana Gurukula.
He became head of the Gurukula in 1999 and later led its expansion in India and abroad. Prasad wrote extensively on Indian philosophy and Vedanta and was known for making traditional texts accessible to modern audiences.
