Mihail Belchev, a Bulgarian singer, songwriter and poet, died on April 6, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in Sofia on August 13, 1946, he also worked as a director. Belchev studied for four years at the High Mining and Geological Institute in Sofia and later at the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, where he specialized in television directing.

He wrote music, lyrics, or both for songs including The Boulevard, At the First Roosters, In 10 Years, I Will Continue to Sing, Not Everything Is Money, and My Friend.
