Marina Yusoff Malaysian politician dead at age 84

Marina Yusoff, a Malaysian politician, lawyer and businesswoman, died on March 16, 2026.

Born on Dec. 7, 1941, she began her political career as an Umno activist and served as deputy chief of Wanita Umno from 1972 to 1974.

In 1987, she co-founded Parti Melayu Semangat 46 with Tan Sri Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah after an internal crisis in Umno. After Semangat 46 merged back into Umno following the 1995 elections, she returned to the party, but later quit after the sacking of deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim. In 1999, she became vice-president of Parti Keadilan Nasional.

Marina Yusoff (7 December 1941 – 11 March 2026) was a Malaysian politician, lawyer and businesswoman.
