Cico Harahap, a Malay-Indonesian actor best known for the television series “Puteri Impian,” died November 8, 2026, aged 48.
Born Ezzaq Farrouq Harahap Jamaludin in Kuala Lumpur on July 7, 1978, he began acting as a child, appearing as Yusman in the 1993 Malaysian film “Kekasih Awal dan Akhir.” His breakthrough came as Zulkifli in “Puteri Impian,” which ran from 1997 to 1998 and brought him wider recognition. Harahap later played Saiful in the film “Anak Mami” and its 2005 sequel, “Anak Mami Telah Kembali,” roles that also gained him popularity in Sumatra.
His credits included the 2016 film “Operation Mekong.” After that film’s premiere, his health declined following severe septic shock. His mother, Uji Rashid, said he could barely speak or walk, and Harahap announced his retirement from television in 2017, when his condition had shown little improvement. His acting career spanned 1993 to 2017, taking him from an early role in Malaysian cinema to television and film work across the region.
