John MacDonald, a Hong Kong racing car driver and motorcycle racer, died on February 2, 2026.
Born in England on 27 May 1936, he began his career racing motorcycles and cars before entering National Service. He later lived in Hong Kong, competed as a representative of Hong Kong, and owned a garage business.
MacDonald was best known for his record in the Macau Grand Prix in the early 1970s and was the only driver to win all the international races of Macau. He also won the Malaysian Grand Prix four times and the 1976 Indonesian Grand Prix.
