Bobby Ross, the Scottish football player and coach who made 323 Football League appearances for Brentford, died on August 22, 2026, aged 84.

Born Robert Herdman Ross in Edinburgh on May 18, 1942, he was best remembered for six years as a forward and midfielder with Brentford, and he later spent time with Shrewsbury Town and Hayes. Ross went on to work for more than two decades in the youth system at Queens Park Rangers, retiring in 2008.

He was also a member of the Brentford Hall of Fame.
