Jesús Fuentes Lázaro, a Spanish politician and teacher, died on February 7, 2026, in Toledo, Spain, at the age of 79.
A member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, he served in the Congress of Deputies from 1979 to 1989 and was a senator from 1989 to 1993. He also served as president of the Regional Government of CastillaLa Mancha from 1982 to 1983.
Born in Toledo on May 23, 1946, he spent his career in public life in Spain.
