Shao Yu-ming, a Taiwanese politician, died on February 7, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on November 3, 1938, in Binjiang Province in what was then Manchukuo, he moved to Taiwan in 1948 and later studied at National Chengchi University, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and the University of Chicago. He served as director-general of the Government Information Office from 1987 to 1991.
