Eli Alaluf Israeli politician dead at age 80

Eli Alaluf, an Israeli politician, died on February 8, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born in Fes, Morocco, on February 17, 1945, he immigrated to Israel in 1967. He studied political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1968 to 1972 and later served as director of the French-speaking youth unit of the World Zionist Organization.

Alaluf also worked as an assistant in Minister Yigael Yadin’s office, with the Jewish Agency in renewal and development, and was elected to the Beersheba city council in 1989. He later served as a member of the Knesset for Kulanu.

Eli Alaluf (Hebrew: אלי אלאלוף; 17 February 1945 – 8 February 2026) was an Israeli politician. Originally a senior bureaucrat for the Israeli government and Israeli NGOs, he later served as a member of the Knesset for Kulanu.
