Bill Ind, the English Anglican bishop who served as bishop of Truro from 1997 to 2008, died on April 24, 2026.
He was 84. Born on 26 March 1942, he was educated at the Duke of York’s School in Dover, the University of Leeds, where he earned a BA in history in 1964, and the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield.
Ordained a deacon in 1966 and a priest in 1967, he later held posts including curate of Feltham and St Mary’s Northolt, team vicar of Basingstoke, Vice-principal of the Aston Training Scheme, Director of Ordinands of the Winchester Diocese, and honorary canon of Winchester.
