Born in Buenos Aires on August 2, 1950, he was appointed justice minister during the presidency of Néstor Kirchner and later remained active in public service. Iribarne, a law graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, was also named by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner as Argentina’s ambassador to the Holy See, though the Vatican declined to approve the appointment.
