Zlatko Šimenc, a Croatian water polo player and coach, died on March 17, 2026.
Born in Zagreb on November 29, 1938, he was of Slovenian origin and played for the Yugoslav team that won a silver medal at the 1964 Olympics after finishing fourth in 1960. He also won three medals at the European championships between 1958 and 1966.
Šimenc coached from 1969 to 1975.
