Aníbal Cristobo, Argentine poet, writer and critic, died on March 17, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain, at the age of 54.
Born in Lanús, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, on September 1, 1971, he published poems and poetry books, and also worked as an editor. Cristobo lived for six years in Rio de Janeiro, where he published his first works, before moving to Barcelona in 2002.
He later published poetry in Castilian and Portuguese and worked in other media. In 2009, he began publishing poems and drawings online. He received awards for literature in Spain.
