
Vladimir Voevodin, a Russian computer scientist, died on April 29, 2026.
He was 63. Born in Moscow on May 25, 1962, Voevodin studied at Moscow State University, where he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics in 1984.
He served at MSU from 1984 and later held positions at its Research Computing Center, including deputy director. He was also a professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
