Born Viktor Konstiantynovych Zaporozhets on May 23, 1947, in Volchansk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, in the Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, he represented the Soviet Union in the men’s light flyweight event at the 1968 Games and finished ninth.
