Michael Proctor, an American football player and quarterback in the Arena Football League, World League of American Football and Canadian Football League, died on February 11, 2026.
Nicknamed “the General,” he played college football for the Murray State Racers, where he was a four-year starter from 1986 to 1989. Proctor earned All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in 1988 and 1989 and was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year in 1989.
He passed for a school-record 8,632 yards and set Murray State and Ohio Valley Conference career marks with 9,886 yards.
