Seppo Lindblom, the Finnish banker and politician who served as minister of trade and industry, died on September 15, 2026, aged 91.

A member of the Social Democratic Party, he was born Seppo Olavi Lindblom in Helsinki and held several senior public posts during his career, including secretary of state to Prime Minister Mauno Koivisto from 1968 to 1970. He also directed the Labour Movement Economic Research Institute from 1970 to 1972 and served in the Ministry of Finance from 1973 to 1974.

Lindblom was appointed minister of trade and industry in 1972 and returned to the post from 1983 to 1987.
