Rick Young, an American Hall of Fame bullfighter and rodeo clown, died on March 19, 2026.

Known as “The Ragin’ Cajun,” he worked for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and began his rodeo career in 1959. Born in Houston, Texas, on March 3, 1934, Young was raised on his family’s Appaloosa horse ranch near Tickfaw, Louisiana, and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University.

He worked as a bullfighter and rodeo clown for 35 years, including at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City. He was named PRCA Clown of the Year and was inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2004 and the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2022.

Rick Young (March 3, 1934 – March 20, 2026), also known as The Ragin’ Cajun, was an American bullfighter and rodeo clown. He worked for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
