Terry Cox, a British drummer best known for his work with Pentangle and The Humblebums, died on March 19, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born Terence William Harvey Cox on March 13, 1937, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, he was also a member of Duffy’s Nucleus and played with several other artists, including David Bowie and Elton John. Cox was drummer for Charles Aznavour from 1974 to 1982, and in 1973 he had a songwriting partnership with Lynsey de Paul and Lenny Zakatek, recording “Get Your Gun” and “Gotta Runaway” for release as Zakatek on Bell Records.

Terence William Harvey Cox (13 March 1937 – 19 March 2026) was a British drummer who was a member of folk rock bands The Pentangle, Duffy’s Nucleus and Humblebums.
