Peter Katsis, an American music manager and talent manager who helped guide acts including the Backstreet Boys, Korn and Jane’s Addiction, died on August 6, 2026, aged 69.
Born in Chicago, he began his career in the city in the mid-1980s as a talent buyer, promoter and A&R executive, working on shows at venues including the Metro, Club C.O.D. and the Riviera Theatre and booking Chicago house acts such as Marshal Jefferson and Adonis.
He later moved into artist management, discovering and managing Ministry at age 69 before relocating to Los Angeles in 1989. Katsis went on to co-found the management and production company Prospect Park and became a founding partner of The Firm, representing artists including Limp Bizkit and Morrissey.
