
Patrick Ground, a British politician and barrister, died on April 16, 2026, aged 93.
Known as Reginald Patrick Ground QC, he served as a Conservative councillor on the London Borough of Hammersmith from 1968 to 1971, representing the Parson’s Green ward. He was selected locally in April 2015 to serve as president of the Feltham and Heston Conservative Association.
Ground stood seven times as the Conservative candidate for Feltham and Heston between February 1974 and 1997, winning the seat in 1983 and 1987 before losing in 1992 to Alan Keen. As a backbencher, he spoke frequently on local government and planning.
