Marian Cygan, a Polish football player and manager, died on April 11, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born on June 30, 1940, he was raised in Kraków and came through the Cracovia academy as a goalkeeper. He played for Cracovia, Tarnovia Tarnów and later Hutnik Kraków, where he was linked for much of his working career.
After a playing injury ended his career at 25, he moved into management, with work at Cracovia and Hutnik, particularly at youth level. He also became active in local and regional football associations.
