Louis Edmond Cordero, the Puerto Rican musician, record producer and actor known as Louie Louie, died on March 19, 2026.
Born on July 10, 1962, he released four full-length albums, including two on major record labels and one under his real name, Louie Cordero, and issued a number of singles. His 1990 songs “Sittin’ in the Lap of Luxury” and “I Wanna Get Back with You” were his only singles to chart in the United States.
He also appeared in the video for Madonna’s “Borderline” and played Rick in “House Party 2.”
