
Joseph Rudolph Nossek, an American baseball player, coach and scout for the Minnesota Twins, died on February 14, 2026.
He was 85. Nossek played Major League Baseball as an outfielder, throwing and batting right-handed.
Born on November 8, 1940, he attended Ohio University and played for the Ohio Bobcats baseball team. He was signed by the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 1961 and made his major league debut on April 18, 1964, against the Washington Senators. He was inducted into the Kermit Blosser Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.
