Born on December 10, 1941, in Zabrze, he built a long career as one of Germany’s best-known voice actors, specializing in dubbing international stars for German audiences. Over the years, he became closely associated with the German-language voices of Jack Nicholson and Anthony Hopkins, and also dubbed performers including Dennis Hopper, Harvey Keitel, Robert De Niro and Jean Reno.
Beyond film work, he voiced Robert Wagner on the television series Hart to Hart and collaborated on several albums with the German trance and techno group E Nomine. Kerzel died in Berlin.
