Hélène Dorlhac, a French doctor and politician, died on March 4, 2026.
Born Hélène Roujon in Sumène on October 4, 1935, she graduated from the University of Montpellier School of Medicine with a diploma in occupational medicine. In the 1970s, she joined the National Federation of the Independent Republicans and the pro-Valéry Giscard d’Estaing club Perspectives et Réalités.
She later supported Valéry Giscard d’Estaing in the 1974 presidential election and was appointed Secretary of State for Prison Conditions, where she focused on the humanization of the prison system within the Ministry of Justice.
