Giancarlo Dettori, the Italian actor, died on February 9, 2026, at the age of 93.
He appeared in more than thirty films from 1957 onward and was mainly a theatrical actor. From 1957 for the next four decades, he took part in numerous productions at Milan’s Piccolo Teatro under the direction of Giorgio Strehler, beginning with Carlo Goldoni’s “The Servant of Two Masters.” On television, he co-presented the 1976 variety show “Insieme, pretending nothing had happened” with Enza Sampò and the 1984 quiz show “Giallo sera” with Marina Perzy.
He also appeared in the 1982 series “Casa Cecilia.” He was married to actress Franca Nuti and had two children.

For television, in 1976 he presented, with Enza Sampò, the variety show Insieme, pretending nothing had happened, while in 1984 he hosted, together with Marina Perzy, the second edition of the television quiz Giallo sera. In 1982, he participated in the television series Casa Cecilia. He married the actress Franca Nuti and had two children.
