Geoffrey Arrand, the English archdeacon who served as archdeacon of Suffolk, died on July 30, 2026, aged 82.
Geoffrey William Arrand was born on 24 July 1944 and was educated at King’s College London. Ordained in 1968, he held curacies in Washington and South Ormsby before becoming Vicar of Great Grimsby from 1973 to 1979.
He later served as Team Rector of Halesworth, Dean of Bocking and Rural Dean of Hadleigh, and was archdeacon of Suffolk from 1994 to 2009. He retired to Lincoln in 2009.
