Dolores Keane, an Irish folk singer and founding member of De Dannan, died on March 16, 2026.

Born on 26 September 1953 in Sylane, County Galway, she was raised from the age of four by her aunts Rita and Sarah Keane, both sean-nós singers, and began singing at a young age. She made her first recording for Radio Éireann in 1958, at the age of five.

In 1975, she co-founded De Dannan, whose debut album, Dé Danann, was released that year. After a brief period with the group, she left in 1976 and went on to a solo recording and touring career.

Dolores Keane (26 September 1953 – 16 March 2026) was an Irish folk singer. She was a founding member of the group De Dannan following which she pursued a solo recording and touring career.
