David Kendall, an American television writer and producer and film director, died on May 2, 2026, at age 68.

He worked on television series including “Boy Meets World” and “Growing Pains,” and also directed the 2005 film “Dirty Deeds.” Kendall’s credits also included writing, producing and directing for a range of other series, among them “Smart Guy,” “Hannah Montana,” “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” “Victorious,” “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” “Big Time Rush,” “Imagination Movers,” “Melissa & Joey” and “The Really Loud House.” He also wrote the screenplays for “The New Guy” and “Revenge of the Bridesmaids.”
