Blake, a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, died on March 4, 2026, at age 75. Born in Boston on July 27, 1950, she earned an Artium Baccalaureus degree from Radcliffe College in 1972 and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1975.
She was in private practice in Boston from 1975 to 1977, then served with the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland from 1977 to 1987. During that period, she was an assistant United States attorney, first assistant, and from 1985 to 1987 served as United States attorney by appointment of the court.
