
Bobby Cummines, an English rehabilitated business crime leader and former chief executive of Unlock, The National Association of Reformed Offenders, died on March 5, 2026, aged 74.
Born Robert Cummines in Islington, London, on November 23, 1951, he worked at Unlock from April 1999 until March 2012. Described in some media as a gangster, he rejected that label, saying he never considered himself one and instead called himself a businessman whose business was crime.
He was known as an armed robber, protection racketeer and criminal enforcer.

Despite being described as a gangster in some of the media, Cummines refused the label, saying he never considered himself one, instead stating he was a “businessman whose business was crime”.
