Abdollah Movahed, the Iranian wrestler and 1968 Olympic champion, died on April 30, 2026, at the age of 86 of a heart attack.

Movahed competed at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics, winning gold in 1968. He also served as Iran’s flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony of the 1970 Asian Games and won a gold medal there a few days later.
