Terje Haugland, the Norwegian long jumper, died on May 5, 2026.
Born in Haugesund on April 11, 1944, he competed for Norway in the long jump and finished eleventh at the 1969 European Championships, thirteenth at the 1970 European Indoor Championships and thirteenth at the 1971 European Championships. He became Norwegian champion in 1969 and 1971 and represented Haugesund IL and IK Tjalve.
Haugland was the son of Eugen Haugland and the father of Hanne Haugland.
