Suco, the Spanish footballer known for spells with Racing Ferrol, Barcelona and Valencia, died on July 24, 2026, aged 87.
Born Andrés Parada Alvite in Ribeira on September 27, 1938, he began his career with local side Atlético Ribeira before moving to Racing Ferrol in 1956 at the age of 87. He joined Barcelona in 1959 and later played for Racing Santander before signing for Valencia in 1963.
In his first league appearance against Levante, he scored in a 5-3 victory in the first Valencia derby at Mestalla, and he also featured in Valencia’s run to the 1963-64 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup final.
