Steve Gollschewski, an Australian police officer who served as commissioner of the Queensland Police Service from 2024 to 2026, died on September 4, 2026, aged 67.

He led the principal law enforcement agency in Queensland, whose headquarters is in Brisbane and which traces its modern form to the Queensland Police Force’s 1990 renaming as the Queensland Police Service. The service, also known as QPS, was unified in 1864 and by 2026 employed more than 18,000 personnel across police and staff roles.
