Richard O’Sullivan, the English actor known for television comedies including Man About the House, Robin’s Nest and Dick Turpin, died on September 4, 2026, aged 82.
Born in Chiswick on May 7, 1944, he began his career as a child performer in 1953 after training at the Corona Theatre School. O’Sullivan became a familiar presence on British television through his role as Robin Tripp in Man About the House from 1973 to 1976 and its sequel Robin’s Nest from 1977 to 1981.
He also starred as the title character in Dick Turpin between 1979 and 1982, and appeared in Doctor at Large, Doctor in Charge, Alcock and Gander, Me and My Girl and Trouble In Mind.
