Paul Bradshaw, the English footballer who played for Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday, died on August 2, 2026, aged 72.

Born in Sheffield on 2 October 1953, he came through the Sheffield and Yorkshire Schoolboys sides and also represented England at schoolboy level. He joined Burnley as an apprentice in 1969, signed professional terms on his 17th birthday and spent more than six years with the club, breaking into the first team after Leighton James’s move to Derby County in 1975.

In 1976 he joined Sheffield Wednesday, but his career was cut short by injury in 1978 after a total of 91 senior appearances.
