Napoleón Becerra, a Peruvian trade unionist and politician, died on March 15, 2026, after a car collision in Huaytará, Peru.
He was 61. Becerra was born in Cajamarca on April 11, 1964, studied at Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University, and earned degrees in administration and administrative sciences in 2009.
He worked for the government of Lima from 1984 to 2025, where he became a leader of municipal workers. In 2023, he co-founded the Workers and Entrepreneurs Party, and later was a presidential candidate in Peru’s 2026 general election.
