Bjørn Nilsen, a Norwegian poet, journalist and television producer, died on March 15, 2026.
He was born in Strinda, now Trondheim, on December 27, 1934, the son of Eilif Asbjørn Nilsen and Borgunn Alvilde Iversen. Nilsen graduated with examen artium from Strinda gymnas in 1952, worked for a period as a bus driver, and later studied at the University of Oslo, where he earned a cand.philol.
degree in 1962 with Norwegian as his main subject. He was married twice, first to Lisbeth Ruud and later to Ellen Aanesen.
