Maurice Hurley, an American television writer and producer, died on February 24, 2015, aged 75.
He was best known for his work on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and in the 1980s wrote scripts for The Equalizer and Miami Vice. Hurley also produced some episodes of The Equalizer, wrote the 1981 film Firebird 2015 AD, and later co-wrote the 2002 film Groom Lake with William Shatner.
