Maribel Flores, a Spanish politician and former member of the Parliament of Andalusia and the Senate of Spain, died on April 1, 2026.
A member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE), she served in the Parliament of Andalusia from 1990 to 2004 and in the Senate from 1996 to 2015. Born María Isabel Flores Fernández in Tudela, Navarre, in 1950, she grew up in Córdoba, was a teacher, and was a member of the Unión General de Trabajadores.
She also held roles in the PSOE executive at the provincial and regional levels.
